BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 8th October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin, State, scattered in (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
