SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy inKachinState.Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, BagoRegions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.92) inches in Myaungmya, (3.66) inches in Pathein, (3.46) inches in Labutta, (2.32) inches each in Kani and Hainggyigyun, (1.77) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (1.73) inches in Monywa(Kyemone), (1.53) inches in Meiktila and (1.51) inches in Khayan.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure areaover the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the land tropical storm over the Laos has downgraded into land Tropical Depression still persists. It is forecast to move Westwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th September, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin State, scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin Statesand widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls inTaninthayi Region andKayin, Mon States.Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihoodof increased of rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 25th September, 2021:      Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region and widespread in Yangon Region.
