SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the

past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in the Ayeyarwady Region and

Chin State, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region,

sacttered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Mon State and isolated

in the remaining Regions and States with regional heavy falls in Mandalay Region

and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. Day temperatures were about

May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average

temperatures in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan and Rakhine States

and (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and

States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Myingyan and

Nyaung Oo, (43°C) each in Chauk, Magway and Gangaw . The noteworthy

amounts of rainfall recorded were Launglon (6.10) inches, Tada U (1.77) inches,

Mandalay (1.57) inches, Singaing (1.54) inches, Amarapura  (1.44) inches.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is generally fair in the North Bay and partly cloudy

to cloudy in the Andaman sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 16th May, 2015: Rain or thundershowers

are likely to be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Sagaing Region,

Kachin, Shan, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.

Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Continuation of thundery activities

in the  Southern Myanmar areas.
