SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine State, Scattered in Ayeyarwady Region, Northern Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in Yangon Region, (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Kayah States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin State and isolated heavy falls in Bago and Yangon Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myawaddy (3.78)inches, Hpa-an (3.53)inches, Central Yangon (3.15)inches, Phyu (3.11)inches, Northern Dagon (2.87)inches, Bago (2.79)inches, Shwekyin and Khayan (2.28)inches each, Yangon(Kaba-aye) (1.85)inches, Nyaunglaybin, Phyarpon and Thaton (1.69)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and East Central Bay and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
