SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi regions, Kachin, Shan (North and East), Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Rakhine States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (4.02)inches, Maungdaw (2.95)inches, Madauk (2.68)inches, Phyarpon (2.21)inches, Hmawbi and Myaungmya (1.97)inches each and Naypyitaw (Zayyarthiri) (1.61)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-7) feet in along Myanmar Coast.
