SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and widespread in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyaukpyu (4.13)inches, Mahlaing (3.20)inches, Taungtha (2.85)inches, Naypyitaw (Pobbathiri) (2.56)inches, Myeik (2.52)inches, Naypyitaw(Otarathiri) (2.16)inches, Taungkok (2.01)inches, Myauk U (1.97)inches, Myawaddy (1.69)inches and Hlaingtat (1.50)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd October, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and widespread in Taninthayi Region, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in along Myanmar Coasts.
