BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7)feet in along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
