BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the North Bay and moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan (North and East), Chin, Kayah and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Kayin States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-8)feet in along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal Southwest monsoon from Northern Myanmar area.
