SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Northern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan State and widespread in Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Ann (4.17)inches, Myauk U (3.50)inches, Tamu (3.31)inches, Maungdaw (3.03)inches, Homalin (2.68) inches, Kyaukpyu (2.12)inches, Bhamo (1.77)inches, Falam and Yay (1.57)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
