SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway and Tanintayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan(North and South), Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hainggyigyun (7.68)inches, Falam (4.49)inches, Paletwa (4.09) inches, Sittwe (3.22)inches, Saw and Taungkok  (3.07) inches each, Mindat (2.88)inches, Hakha (2.72)inches, Kyaukhtu (2.60)inches, Htinlin (2.52)inches, Myaungmya (2.44) inches and Tamu (2.36)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be  scattered in Naypyitaw and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and  Magway Regions, Shan and Kayin States and widespread in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional Squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and  along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundary activity in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
