BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs MST today, the typhoon ‘Doksuri’ has crossed to the Vietnam Coasts and downgrade into a tropical storm over the Laos and it is moving West wards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 16th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandaly and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in Taninthayi Region, (Southern & Eastern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6)feet in along Rakhine Coast.
