SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan and Kayin States and widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hlaingbwe (2.53)inches, Mogaung (2.44) inches, Coco-Island (2.13)inches, Yay (2.05)inches, Loilin (1.89)inches, Pinlaebu and Paingkyone (1.46)inches each and Central Yangon and Myeik (1.37)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan (East & South) and Rakhine States and widespread in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Shan State.
