BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 15thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan (East and South), Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Gulf off Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet Gulf of Mottama and along Mon - Taninthayi Coast and Deltaic and along Rakhine Coast (5 - 7) feet.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayin and Mon States.
