SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Maungdaw (7.08)inches, Hkamti (3.98)inches, Kyauktaw (3.78)inches, Myauku (2.80)inches, Naypyitaw( Tatkon) (2.71)inches, Taungdwingyi (2.68) inches, Thandaunggyi (1.89)inches, Myitkyina (1.85)inches, Ann (1.81)inches, Mogaung (1.61)inches and Mawleik (1.57)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11st August, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan and Kayin States, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-8)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin and Rakhine States.
