SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Northern Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (10.59)inches, Dawei (5.04)inches, Thaton (2.52)inches, Putao (2.36)inches, Manaung (2.24)inches, Paung (2.09)inches, Nyaungtone (1.86)inches, Kyauktaw (1.85)inches, Yay (1.69)inches, Paingkyone (1.66)inches and Thandaunggyi (1.62)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Shan and Chin States, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-8)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.
