BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 3rd August, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region and Nothern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Southern Shan and Chin States, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon -Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.Wave height will be about (8-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coast and (5 - 7)feet in along Rakhine Coast.
