SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin State, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan (South and East), Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy in Naypyitaw, Magway and Yangon Regions, isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yangon (Kaba-Aye) (4.17)inches, Khayan (3.94)inches, Labutta (3.78)inches, Yangon (North Dagon) (3.74) inches, Gwa (3.50)inches, Naypyitaw (Zayarthiri) (3.43)inches, Yangon (Central) (3.27)inches, Kungyangon and Belin (3.03)inches each, Hpa-an (3.00)inches, Bago (2.81)inches, Mawlamyine (2.76)inches, Tiddim, Thandaunggyi and Kyeikkhame (2.68)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan (East and South), Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
