SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, (Southern & Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myitkyina (3.39)inches, Kyaukphyu (3.11)inches, Tamu (3.07)inches, Katha (2.80) inches, Maungdaw (2.56) inches, Sittwe (2.44)inches, Kawkayeik (2.36)inches, Manaung (2.20) inches, Homalin (2.13)inches, Pinlaebu (2.01)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin and Rakhine States.
