BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and strong over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan (East and South) State, scattered in Mandalay Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Deltaic, Rakhine Coast and (4 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon - Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 7th July, 2017: One or two rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainly is (100%).
