SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and  Southern Shan and Chin States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Eastern and Northern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Bago Region, Kachin and Mon States.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Maungdaw (8.50)inches, Ann (7.40)inches, Sittwe (6.30)inches, Kyauktaw (4.88)inches, Taungkok (4.69)inches, Hkamti (4.56)inches, Belin (3.90)inches, Bago (3.82) inches, Zalun (3.62)inches, Putao (3.46)inches, Myauk U (3.39)inches and Nyaungtone(3.05)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Shan and Kayah States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in along Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
