SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Magway Region and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Eastern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Chin, Rakhine,  Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Paung (6.46)inches, Kyauktaw (5.43)inches, Myauk U (5.04)inches, Taungkok (4.57)inches, Putao (4.33)inches, Maungdaw (4.17)inches, Platewa (3.94)inches, Hkamti (3.74) inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.46)inches, Thandaunggyi (3.19)inches, Shanywarthit and Madupi (3.12)inches each, Theinzayet (3.03)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in along Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Continuation of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
