BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 24th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay  Regions, scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw,Shan and Chin States, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 8) feet in along Rakhine Coasts, about (7 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 24th June, 2017: One or two rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainly is (100%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 24th June, 2017: Some rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainly is (100%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 24th June, 2017: Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainly is (80%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in Yangon Region and isolated in Mandalay Region.
