SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Southern & Northern)Shan, scattered in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mon State, widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Homalin (3.58)inches, Moenyin (3.35)inches, Gwa and Moegaung (2.99)inches each, Tamu (2.13)inches, Paletwa (2.01)inches, Thandwe (1.93)inches, Hlegu (1.89)inches, Nyaunglaybin (1.85)inches, Yangon (Mingaladon) (1.65) inches and Kyauktaw (1.61)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States, widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
