SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain has been scattered in Taninthayi Region, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Yangon Region and (2°C) below January average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (1°C) in Heho, (3°C) each in Namsam, Pinlaung, Loilin and Ramthlo, (4°C) in Thipaw and (5°C) each in Matupi, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd January, 2019: Light rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated light rain in Taninthayi Region.
