BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States, isolated in Upper Sagaing Region with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, about (4 - 6) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coast.
