BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin State, scattered inNaypyitaw,shan (Northern)Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and Shan(Eastern and Southern) State with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, about (4 - 6) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay.
