SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in the whole country. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, (3°C) above January average temperature in Southern Shan State and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, (Northern, Eastern) Shan and Kayah States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (5°C) each in Heho and Matupi, (6°C) each in Namsam, Tiddim and Loilin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th JANUARY, 2018: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Magway Region, Kayah and Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
