SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below November average temperatures in Yangon Region, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, (2°C) below November average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan State, (2°C) above November average temperature in Kayin and Mon States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Hakha, (6°C) each in Thipaw, Heho and Ramthlo and (8°C) each in Naungcho, Loilin, Tiddim and Mogoke, (9°C) each in Namsam, Pinlaung and Pyinoolwin.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Launglon (0.59)inch, Dawei (0.35)inch, Myeik and Kawthaung (0.04)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (24)hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over the Gulf of Thailand still persists. It is forecast to move Westwards and likely to reach South Andaman Sea during next (36)hrs.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st November, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and aloung Mon-Tanintayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (2-5) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
