SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Ragion, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan (East and South), Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States with regionally heavy falls in Magway and Yangon Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. Day temperatures were (9°C) below May average temperature in Magway Region, (5°C) to (6°C) below May average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Chin State, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, (2°C) below May average temperatures in Bago Region, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and about May average temperatures in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan (North and South), Kayin and Mon States. The significant day temperature were (36°C) in Lunkyaw, (34°C) each in Bhamo, Gwa and Ngathaichaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (6.18)inches, Kyaukpyu (5.75)inches, Yangon (North Dagon) (4.33)inches, Ann (4.18)inches, Maungdaw (3.66)inches, Myeik (3.46)inches, Paletwa and Falam (3.39)inches each, Yangon (Kaba-Aye) (3.07)inches, Putao (2.95)inches, Kungyangon (2.80)inches, Hlegu (2.76)inches, Hakha and Yangon (Central) (2.64)inches each.
