BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 18th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Kayah states and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (3 -6)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
