SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Bago Region, (Eastern and Sorthern)Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with  isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Pinlaebu (4.06)inches, Kyaukpyu (3.35)inches, Sittwe (2.60)inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.56) inches, Manaung (2.09) inches, Zaungtu (2.05)inches, Mogaung (1.89)inches, Myeik (1.41)inches and Theinzayet (1.38)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, yesterday the tropical storm “Barijat” over the South China Sea has reached to Gulf of Tonkin, it has downgraded into tropical depression and  centered at about (160)miles Southeast  of  Hanoi(Vietnam).It is forecast to move Westwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, Scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Shan, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in Northern Myanmar.
