SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Kayah States, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Southern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Kachin State.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mudon (4.92)inches, Belin (3.35)inches, Myitkyina (3.11)inches, Hpa-an (2.40)inches, Paung (2.13)inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.09)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (1.56)inches, Chaungsone (1.46)inches, Kamamaung (1.36)inches, Mawlamyine and Kya-In-Seikkyi (1.30)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State, Scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
