BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 31^st AUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region,  Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4 -6) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
