BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and  Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19thAUGUST, 2018: Rain will be fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago ,Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in  off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
