25-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 15th May, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayah and Kayin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h.  Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of Southwest monsoon advance into the Southern Myanmar areas.
