BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30) MST today, the tropical depression over the South China Sea (Gulf Tonkin) and it is centered at about (215)miles South of Nanning(China). It is forecast to move East- Northeastwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be  scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State and fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin State and  isolated heavy falls in Bago Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -13)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
