25-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is  partly cloudy  to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and   Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 14th May, 2017:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times  Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.  Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
