SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State and isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Thandwe (4.65)inches, Dawei (4.45)inches, Launglon (4.21)inches, Paing Kyone (3.86)inches, Thaton (3.74)inches, Kamamaung (3.69)inches, Hainggyigyun and Hlaingbwe (3.15)inches each, Shan-Ywar-Thit (3.01)inches, Myitkyina (2.87)inches, Yay and Kyeikmayaw (2.64) inches each and Kyaukphyu and Paung (2.44)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 14)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Kayin and Mon States.
