BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21st JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing,  Mandalay and Magway Regions,  scattered in Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 - 11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 - 8)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Kayin and Mon States.
