SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Magway and Bago Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Ann (8.58) inches, Kyaukphyu (8.15)inches, Gwa (5.55)inches, Sittwe (5.51)inches, Nyaunglaybin (4.72)inches, Maungdaw (4.48)inches, Thandwe (4.10) inches, Bago (3.62)inches, Paletwa and Ngathaichaung (3.54)inches each, Myeik (3.39)inches, Kyauktaw and Kya-In-Seikkyi (3.36)inches each, Pinlaung (3.30)inches and Myauk U (3.15)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Bangladesh coast is crossing over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh coast near Chittagong. It is forecast to further intensify into a depression during next (24) hours. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in the whole country with regionally heavy falls in Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10 - 15) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Vigorous monsoon.
