BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to further intensify into a Depression during next (48)hrs.Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions Regions.Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally Squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10 - 14) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
