BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 2nd JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4 - 7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Rakhine Coasts.
