SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Tanintharyi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Napyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region and Kachin State. Day temperatures were (7°C) to (8°C) below May average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regions, (5°C) to (6°C) below May average temperatures in Sagaing Region, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan and Rakhine States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperature was (37°C)in Monywa. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyaukphyu (10.90)inches, Taungkok (7.36) inches, Ann (6.66)inches, Yangon(North Dagon) (6.42)inches, Thandwe (6.02)inches, Nyaungoo (4.77) inches, Pauk (4.69)inches, Kyaukpadaung and Thaton (4.57)inches each, Saw (4.49)inches, Mindat and Falam (4.41) inches each, Thayat (4.17)inches, Gwa (3.98)inches, Sinpyugyun (3.86)inches, Pakokku (3.78)inches, Chauk, Aunglan and Sittwe (3.70)inches each, Myingyan (3.66)inches, Myitkyina (3.50)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.35) inches, Kalewa and Tamu (3.26)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, after the land depression has moved to Northeastwards weaken into Low Pressure Area. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st MAY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally Squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 12) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Northern Myanmar areas.
