SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 4°C below February average temperature in Rakhine State, 2°C below February average temperatures in Kachin and Chin States and 2°C above February average temperatures in Yangon Region and Mon State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.3°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 2.4°C in Hakha, 3.2°C in Heho, 5.5°C in Mongyang, 6.3°C in Loilin, 6.5°C each in Pyinoolwin and Putao, 7.3°C in Tiddim, 8.0°C in Pinlaung, 9.8°C in Myitkyina and 10.1°C in Taunggyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.39 inch in Myeik, 0.16 inch in Machanbaw and 0.08 inch in Putao.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th February 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayin, Chin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
