SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain have been scattered in Taninthayi Region, isolated in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C)below January average temperatures in (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Kayah States and (2°C) below January average temperatures in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Rakhine State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Pinlaung, (1°C) each in Namsam, Heho and Hakha, (3°C) each in Loilin and Mongyang, (4°C) each in Mogoke and Loikaw, (5°C) each in Thipaw, Lashio and Nyaungshwe.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and West central Bay of Bengal and Partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th JANUARY, 2018: Light rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be a few cloud in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated rain in Taninthayi Region.
