24-5-2024:According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, a depression over Central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards and now lies over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (275) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco Island, (310) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun, (340) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe (Myanmar), (370) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), (350) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island and (380) Nautical miles South of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong  over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (5-7) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo and Katha, about (4-6) feet at Mandalay and Sagaing,and about (1-3) feet at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan,Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.
The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (6-8) feet at Hkamti and Homalin, and about (4-6) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa and Monywa.
