According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, yesterday’s the low pressure area over the Gulf off Thailand passed through Southern Thailand and Southern Myanmar areas and weakened to a wave in the Andaman Sea. It is likely to form over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Eastcentral Bay during next (6)hours.

General Caution

          Due to a wave, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls and isolated heavy falls. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h.  Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts during commencing morning today to (13.10.2020).

Due to a wave, people should be aware heavy rainfall with strong wind, flash flood and landslide near the hilly areas and also small rivers.
