24-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial India Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh and West Bengal(India) still persists.

Due to the low pressure area and the cloud moving from the India, rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread to widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls and strong wind from today morning up to 6-10-2024.

 

Advisory

 People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
