Low Pressure Area Condition

According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, yesterday’s the low pressure area over the Gulf of Thailand and adjoining Malay peninsula has moved over the South Andaman Sea still persists. It is forecast to intensify into a depression during next (48)hours.
General Caution
Due to the Low pressure area, rain will be scattered to fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Thaintharyi Regions, Kayin and Mon States within 48 hours commencing morning today.
Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts.
