26-5-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” over North Bay of Bengal has continued to move nearly Northwards and centered at about (175) Nautical miles West of Maungdaw, (210) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Sittwe,  (255) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Kyaukpyu, (Myanmar), (95) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara, (110) Nautical miles South of Mongla, (Bangladesh), (85) Nautical miles Southeast of Sagar Island, (110) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Digha and (100) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous over the Eastcentral Bay. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining off Sri Lanka Coast now lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast still persists. It is forecast continuous to move Westwards.
